Family Practice Associates is committed to being the leading provider of family health care in Delaware, providing the highest quality service that is comprehensive, accessible and caring for individuals of all ages and their families.
We have been continuously serving generations of Wilmington and New Castle County families since 1941.
Family Practice Associates is among a very select group of Delaware practices that have been awarded a commendation for outstanding care of patients with diabetes from Quality Insights of Delaware (QID), the quality improvement organization charged by Medicare to help improve the quality of care for seniors. We have also been awarded recognition of our very high level of care for patients with heart failure. We are pleased to be recognized for our efforts on our patients' behalf. The commendations from QID are proudly displayed in our lobby.
Family Practice Associates has been awarded the prestigous Diabetes Provider Recognition Award from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)and the American Diabetes Association (ADA).
The program recognizes physicians who deliver quality diabetes care in the areas including eye exams, blood pressure testing, nutrition therapy and patient satisfaction, among others. When patients with diabetes receive quality care they are less likely to suffer complications such as heart attacks, stroke, blindness, kidney disease and amputations.
Through our association with the Delaware Research Center www.deresearchcenter.com, we are now participating in medication evaluations. Carefully carried out and monitored by the FDA, these trials give our patients the opportunity to benefit from the latest advances in pharmaceutical care for new drugs which are either in the final stages before being released for general use or are being evaluated for new uses. Please visit the Delaware Research Center website to see our current and upcoming studies. If you are a patient and are interested in participating in any of our studies, please speak with your physician or one of our staff members.

Daily Health Tip:
Hair loss in men is usually caused by an inherited trait. However, there can be other causes. Your family doctor will be able to help you decide which treatment is right for you.
